Facts about Zika Virus and Protecting Your Health (Infographic)

Our latest infographic covers facts about Zika Virus and how you can protect your health from this disease. Zika disease is caused by Zika virus, and is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito.

The most common symptoms of Zika are:

Fever
Rash
Joint Pain
Conjunctivitis

The illness related to Zika is usually mild with symptoms lasting from several days up to a week. People who have Zika are not usually sick enough to visit the hospital, and it is very rarely life-threatening.

The Zika virus, and it’s impact on pregnancies, is still being studied. So, while the disease and illness is mild – it’s always good to take precautions.
