The A.T. Still University (ATSU) College of Graduate Sciences (CGHS) is dedicated to educating health care professionals so that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake management and administrative roles in the public health industry. The ATSU online MPH degree aims to ensure that all students become seasoned professionals and help create an elite body of graduates who are driven to make a difference to the future of health care.
In its endeavor to produce excellent leaders in multiple public health fields, the ATSU CGHS MPH has been designed so that it aligns closely with the newest US public health standards. All core courses are taught by highly qualified public health industry leaders, leading public health academics, and top national public servants, all of whom have doctoral-level degrees. Classes are limited to 16 students to allow for extensive one-on-one communication and learning opportunities for every individual.
The ultimate aim of the MPH is to empower students so that they are in a position to reach the highest professional levels possible in the public health industry. It includes traditional methods, as well as exciting new social media approaches, technological strategies, and resources that can be used to leverage their impact.
In addition to the on-campus MPH, the university offers an MPH with an emphasis on dentistry. This is the first program of its kind, and at this time, the only one in the world.
There is also a full-time online residency program available in the dental public health field that also results in an MPH. It has been designed specifically for dentists who are focusing their sights on a career in dental public health. In addition to learning about all the fundamental principles of public health (including biostatistics, epidemiology, behavioral sciences, environmental health, and healthcare policies and management issues), the course offers training in the ten dental public health competencies that are laid down by the American Board of Dental Public Health. There is also a field experience opportunity.
