CSUN’s online MPH program was co-created between Tseng College (Graduate, International, and Midcareer Education) and the university’s College of Health and Human Development with a focus on Community Health.
This two and a half year, seven-term online only program has been designed for those looking to enter the field of public health, or those who seek to advance their current career. The curriculum covers the five core areas of public health and professional preparation: biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, and social and behavioral science. Rounding out the program is a field training practicum in the public sector which prepares our MPH recipients for their careers after graduation.
The CSUN MPH program has been accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and is taught by the same CSUN faculty who teach the on-campus curriculum. A cohort-based program facilitates a community approach and helps students build relationships with fellow public health students and practitioners throughout their seven term program.
CSUN format features class meetings and weekly assignments with enough flexibility to ensure that students can meet their personal and professional obligations while earning their MPH degree. Students will also have the support of a designated program manager from application to graduation to ensure that students can focus on their education.
